Our History
After his brother assumed leadership of the family business, Jack Lyons chose to embark on his own entrepreneurial journey, leading to the establishment of Lyons & Sons in 1979. Initially operating from a modest warehouse, the company specialized in reconditioning cocoa beans and butter products. Jack’s dedication and expertise facilitated the company’s expansion into warehousing and shipping services within the cocoa industry, eventually processing butter products for major candy manufacturers.
Upon Jack’s passing in 2009, his two children inherited the business, steering it into new avenues such as trucking, warehousing, and cargo services. Today, as a family-owned enterprise, Lyons & Sons remains committed to the foundational principles established by its founder, serving as a trusted partner dedicated to providing cost-effective logistics solutions.
