CICT formed to create the FIRST breakbulk terminal operations for beans

First to develop bulk loading in the U.S servicing with tilt chassis containers loaded with loose beans.
First to develop a logistics model using the railroad and hopper cars to carry loose beans to Chicago and Union City. A dedicated fleet of 70 plus hopper rail cars were maintained to service the plants. CICT and Lyons formed a partnership to expand our warehouses
2002
Began loading loose beans, and utilizing standard van trailers. Additionally, the van trailers were able to be used for storage of beans on site.

Developed cleaning equipment to pre-clean beans to increase efficiency at the plants

Lyons expanded over 1,500,000 square feet helping the growth of processing in the US
Expansion of melting operations to include the tolling of cocoa liquor
