At Lyons & Sons, our commitment to environmental responsibility drives our actions. Our most recent upgrade includes the installation of solar panels. Through our partnership with KSI Global we are dedicated to giving back to low-income communities through clean energy initiatives hosting about 460,000 sq. ft. of rooftop, providing clean energy that focuses on lowering electric bills to the surrounding communities. But that's not all – we are transitioning to electric forklifts, replacing outdated propane forklift fleets. This will ensure smoother operations but also eliminates harmful emissions, setting us apart in sustainability. Recognizing our collective responsibility, we are conscientious about our sustainable practices. With responsible waste management and resource conservation programs, such as; repairing pallets, recycling dunnage and cardboard, and working with the NJ DEP. We prioritize environmental friendliness since the first proposal of air permit regulations were introduced six years ago. We continuously hold a seat on the Warehouse Inspection Program (WIP), where we collaborate with other industry experts to develop and enforce guidelines for ensuring warehouse safety and compliance.
